Magic vs. Nuggets score update: Orlando leads at half, 58-37

In their first regular-season game since trading Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers, the Orlando Magic have a 58-37 halftime lead over the Denver Nuggets.

Orlando jumped out to a 11-point lead after the first quarter and nearly doubled it before going into the locker room. Glen Davis has been dominant, collecting 15 points, six rebounds and two blocks. Davis is 7 of 12 from the floor and has made 1 of 2 free throws. J.J. Redick came off the bench to provide 15 points on 5 of 7 shooting, four assists and two rebounds. Redick is 4 of 5 from the line and has one 3-pointer.

The Nuggets, who opened the season with a 84-75 loss at Philadelphia Wednesday, shot just 36.4 percent in the first half. Danilo Gallinari totaled eight points, five rebounds and four assists, while Andre Miller scored nine points and picked up a rebound and two assists.

The Magic shot 57.1 percent in the first half and connected on 3 of 4 3-point attempts. Orlando out rebounded Denver, 24-17.
