Trailing by three entering the third quarter, the Orlando Magic put up 21 unanswered points and pulled ahead for good, finishing Friday night with a 90-74 win over the Detroit Pistons. The 74 points was a season-low for the Pistons, who shot just 28 of 85 from the floor, or 32.9 percent.

Andrew Nicholson led Orlando in scoring as the Magic snapped a two-game skid. He put up 15 points and had four rebounds. Arron Afflalo added another 12 points and seven rebounds, while Glen Davis had 11 points and 14 boards. Moe Harkless got his first career start at small forward, shooting 3 of 7 with seven points.

Greg Monroe was the leading scorer for Detroit, shooting 5 of 11 and making 9 of 11 free throws for 19 points. Detroit missed 14 shots during the 21-point Orlando run, and pulling all the starters failed to stop the bleeding. Rodney Stuckey finally made a pair of free throws with just 2:15 remaining in the quarter.

The Magic, who have lost seven of their last nine, continue a five-game homestand on Friday when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers.
