Jameer Nelson has played in just one game this season for the Orlando Magic.

Orlando Magic guard Jameer Nelson told the media that he is "making progress" with his strained hamstring, according to's John Denton. But he is not expected to play in their Wednesday contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

After playing in the season opener, Nelson has missed two games as he recovers from several injuries. In that first game, the point guard took a shot to the face, twisted his ankle, and strained his hamstring. It is the hamstring that continues to prevent Nelson from returning to action.

"I'm making progress, just getting treatment and drinking lots and lots of water,'' Nelson said. "I don't want to set a timetable (on a return), but I'm just going to continue to treat it, be smart about it and listen to the training staff.''

E'Twaun Moore has played well in Nelson's absence. Moore is in his second season, and spent last year with theBoston Celtics. He has made two starts since Nelson went down, averaging 16 points, four rebounds, and four assists per game in Nelson's place. Moore is expected to start again on Wednesday night at Minnesota.
