Orlando Magic point guard Jameer Nelson is expected to return to action against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night, according to Josh Robbins. The point guard has missed Orlando's last two games with a strained hip.
The slumping Magic will be happy to have Nelson back on the floor. Orlando has lost six games in a row, and the team is just 1-8 this season without Nelson. When the Magic do not have Nelson, they score just 88.7 points per game. When Nelson is in the lineup, they average 95.1.
Nelson is averaging 13 points per game this season, which is slightly higher than his career mark of 12.4. He also averages 6.9 assists per contest, which is 11th-best in the NBA.
Even with Nelson back, the Magic could still be missing E`Twaun Moore (elbow) and Glen Davis (shoulder). Moore is considered day-to-day, and should return soon, while Davis is likely to be out a few more weeks.
