Orlando Magic Vs. Toronto Raptors Preview: Three Point Shooting A Good Compliment To Dwight Howard

The Magic travel North of the border to play the Raptors Monday night. Can the hot three point shooting combined with great play from Dwight Howard lead them to a win?

Presswire

The spotlight has been on Orlando forward Dwight Howard so much, that folks don't realise the other players on the Orlando Magic are just as capable of taking control of a game as he is. Orlando has hit 39 percent of three point attempts this season. The Magic also lead the league in three-point attempts with 1,003.

Howard himself is coming off a pair of impressive games, scoring 28 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in a victory over Milwaukee on Saturday. That was on the heels of a 33 point performance in a loss to Oklahoma City on March 1. What has really been impressive has been the trio of shooters J.J. Redick, Ryan Anderson and Chris Duhon. Those three all average at least 42 percent from beyond the arc and combined to go nine of 15 in the Milwaukee victory.

The Raptors on the other hand hope that DeMar DeRozan can lead the Raptors to a second consecutive victory as Andrea Bargnani nears his return from a calf injury.

The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip off from Air Canada Centre and will be broadcast on Sunshine Sports.
