Magic Vs. Pistons Preview: Orlando Needs To Overcome Injuries To Avoid Fourth Straight Loss

Injuries could give the Magic problems in their game at Detroit on Tuesday. What do the Magic have to do to make up for possible losses.

Presswire

The Orlando Magic are having to deal with injuries to forward Dwight Howard and guard Ryan Anderson. Both players are questionable for Tuesday's game against the Detroit Pistons. The Magic have lost their last three games, including Sunday's 104-101 loss to the Denver Nuggets. Howard missed his first game of the season on Sunday with back spasms.

While Jameer Nelson scored 27 points and Glen Davis scored 18 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in Howards place, the Magic defense allowed the Nuggets to shoot 55.6 percent from the field in that game. Anderson suffered his ankle injury in the final minutes of that game after scoring 20 points. X-rays on his ankle came back negative and he will be a game-time decision in Detroit on Tuesday.

The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit. Television coverage will be provided by Fox Sports Florida.
