The Orlando Magic will now begin their head coaching search, after firing Stan Van Gundy on Monday. One candidate who has emerged is former NBA player and current Los Angeles Lakers assistant coach Chuck Person, according to a report by David Baumann.
Multiple sources have confirmed to me that a third coach Dwight Howard likes is Los Angeles Lakers assistant Chuck Person.

As Baumann notes, Person is a candidate that Dwight Howard would "like" and that will be certainly something the franchise will consider in the hiring process if they decide to keep Howard. Person has previous coaching experience with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Sacramento Kings.
If the Magic decide to part ways with Dwight Howard however, it's unlikely that Person will be a serious candidate for the job.
