After former head coach Stan Van Gundy was fired by the Orlando Magic on Monday, team owner Alex Martins released a statement in praise of the work done by Van Gundy and former general manager Otis Smith. These comments did not sit well with ABC/ESPN basketball analyst Jeff Van Gundy, Stan's brother.
As reported by Tommy Beer of Hoops World:
JVG says Alex Martins' compliments of SVG's coaching ability is "offensive," because Martins "knows nothing about basketball."

Van Gundy continued:
JVG says Martins is "unprofessional" and that Magic are foolish to deny the role Dwight Howard played in Stan's firing

Stan Van Gundy coached the Magic for five seasons and brought the team to the playoffs every year, including an appearance in the 2009 NBA Finals.
