The Orlando Magic trailed the Indiana Pacers by just three points at halftime and even taking a lead at one point in the second half, but without Dwight Howard the Magic could only hang on for so long before Indiana pulled away. The Pacers closed out the Magic with a 105-87 win on Thursday, taking the series 4-1.
Orlando had to rely on the scoring of guys like Glen Davis and Jameer Nelson without Howard in the lineup, and they put up a valiant effort. Nelson led the way for Orlando with 27 points on the night, hitting five three-point shots. Davis finished the night with 15 points while Ryan Anderson struggled to pick up 14 points.
The speculation on the future of Orlando Magic head coach Stan Van Gundy and star center Dwight Howard can now officially begin.
