NBA Free Agency 2012: Could Ryan Anderson End Up In Philadelphia?

Orlando Magic forward Ryan Anderson is a restricted free agent this offseason. Where he will be playing basketball during the 2012-2013 NBA season remains to be seen, but one potential landing spot could be the Philadelphia 76ers.

According to a report from the Philadelphia Inquirer, Anderson is a potential target for the Sixers. Before that happens, Philadelphia will have to make some other decisions, most notably with regard to Elton Brand and Lou Williams, who opted out of the final year of his contract with the 76ers.

If Philadelphia decides to amnesty the final year of Brand's contract and cannot re-sign Williams or Spencer Hawes, that would free up the money to pursue Anderson.

Anderson won the NBA's Most Improved Player award this season. He has said that he likes playing and living in Orlando, and the team has stated its preference for hanging onto him. The lure of the free agent market may be too much to resist.
