2012 NBA Summer League: Celtics Rally To Take Down Thunder

In the final game of the day Tuesday, Jonathan Gibson, who went undrafted in 2010, stole the show. Gibson scored 17 points on five-of-seven shooting to lead the Boston Celtics to an 82-71 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Celtics, who trailed by as many as 17, outscored the Thunder 51-28 in the second half, including a 30-14 fourth quarter.

E'Twaun Moore (15), Kris Joseph (11) and Dionte Christms (10) also scored in double figures. Rookie Jared Sullinger had eight points (three-of-12 shooting) and 12 rebounds while fellow rookie Fab Melo was scoreless in just over 13 minutes. He did, however, pull down five rebounds.

For the second consecutive game, veteran Al Thornton led the Nets in scoring, this time, putting up 16 points on on three-of-13 shooting (he was 10-of-11 from the charity stripe). Rookie Tyshawn Taylor had 10 points and turned the ball over seven times while second-year swingman MarShon Brooks finished with 13 points.

Boston will take on the Indiana Pacers at 11:00 am Wednesday and Brooklyn will square off with the Philadelphia 76ers at 3:00 pm.
