The basketball world was set abuzz late Saturday night, when a report by WKMG Local 6 said that a trade would send Orlando Magic superstar forward Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers was a "done deal."
The proposed deal by the "source" in the story said that the Lakers would get Howard, while the Cleveland Cavaliers would land Lakers center Andrew Bynum and the Orlando Magic receive draft picks.
In the early hours on Sunday, Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon-Journal shot down the deal, as he said it was nothing more than pure speculation.
As the saga continues to drag on, there is still no clear-cut front runner, which may mean there is more time before a deal is made.
