Magic Coaching Search: Brian Shaw Pulls Out Of Consideration, According To Report

The Orlando Magic's search for a new head coach continues to move, and according to Sam Amick of SI.com, one name fans won't be hearing as the winner will be Brian Shaw. According to Amick's source is pulling out of consideration for the position.

Shaw played in the NBA for 14 seasons, including winning three NBA titles as a bench player for the Los Angeles Lakers between 2000 and 2002. He has a lengthy coaching resume that includes being an assistant coach for the Lakers from 2004-2011. He spent the 2011-2012 season as a member of the Indiana Pacers as the associate head coach.

Shaw also received permission to talk to the Portland Trail Blazers about their coaching opening. There was no word on Shaw's reasoning to take his name out of the hat for the Orlando job, however.
