Disgruntled Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard could be a short-term rental for whatever team ends up dealing for him, except for one team. Howard told Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports that there is only one team that he would sign a contract extension with, putting him there beyond next season.
Howard said:
"There's only one team on my list and if I don't get traded there, I'll play the season out and explore my free agency after that."
He did not say which team he was referring to, but most believe it to be the Brooklyn Nets. If Howard is traded to another team, he would be a free agent after the 2012-2013 season.
In the same interview, Howard denied reports claiming he said Orlando officials blackmailed him into waiving his early termination option on his contract.
