Dwight Howard Trade Rumors: Magic Eye Andrew Bynum

Should the Orlando Magic eventually trade All-Star center Dwight Howard, who has requested as much, team management would like to see Lakers center Andrew Bynum come to Florida in return, per Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski. Though Orlando is eyeing Bynum as the center of a potential trade package and have entered talks with L.A., no deal is imminent. Not to mention a simple Howard-for-Bynum swap wouldn't be satisfactory. Per Wojnarowski:

What's more, Bynum wouldn't nearly be enough to satisfy [Orlando GM Rob] Hennigan's desires for a return on Howard. The Lakers would need to send draft picks and absorb long-term money off the Magic's payroll, sources said.

Should Bynum in fact end up playing for the Magic. It's reasonable to assume a long-term deal could be reached to keep him in Orlando, according to Eric Pincus of HoopsWorld:

Bynum would be happy playing in Orlando and would be open to an extension.
