The Jacksonville Jaguars scored a big upset last Monday. How does that affect their odds?

The Jacksonville Jaguars were able to shock the world on Monday night with their huge win over the Baltimore Ravens. This week, a dinged-up Jags team will take on the Houston Texans. Did last week's win have the oddsmakers rethinking things? Let's take a look.

Our friends over at OddsShark have the Jags pegged as big underdogs against Houston. Spectacular upset or no, that was to be expected. (There is a reason they are called "upsets," after all.) After opening at 9.5, the spread for Houston currently stands at between 9 and 10.5 points. They are expected to win by a touchdown and then some.

The over/under for the game currently stands at between 40.5 and 41 points. I'd say that there's a fair chance at the teams combining for more than that, but as we all know, there are weeks where the Jacksonville offense doesn't carry their end of the bargain.

After their big upset on Monday night over the Baltimore Ravens, the Jacksonville Jaguars are hoping to keep the momentum rolling. As they hit the road to take on the Houston Texan, they'll be without running back Brock Bolen (calf), tackle Eben Britton (back) and safety Courtney Greene (hamstring), all of whom sat out practice on Thursday and are officially listed as out for Sunday.

Defensive end John Chick also sat out practice on both Thursday and Friday with an abdomen injury, but is his status was not listed on Friday's injury report. Wide receiver Cecil Shorts is questionable due to a hamstring injury.

Wide receiver Jason Hill, linebacker Clint Session, wide receiver Mike Sims-Walker and guard Jason Spitz are all listed as probable.

The Jaguars are heading into enemy territory more than a little banged up, but are hoping to gain some ground on their division rivals the Texans. Another win on Sunday would be huge for Jacksonville.

About this time last week, many fans and reporters were wondering if the Jacksonville Jaguars might end up in the Andrew Luck sweepstakes by year's end. The Jaguars had lost their previous five games and looked to

Now the Jaguars enter Week 8 just two games behind the Houston Texans (4-3) in the AFC South. At 1-0 in the division, Jacksonville is in plenty good shape to make up that lost ground provided they win a tough road test against a Texans team that registered an impressive divisional road win itself last Sunday.

Here's the Thursday injury notes for Jack Del Rio's squad, who himself is recovering from a physical setback after taking a hit on the sidelines during the Jags' stunning Monday Night Football win over the Ravens.

The following missed Thursday's practice: Brock Bolen (calf), Eben Britton (back), Courtney Greene (hamstring), John Chick (abdomen)

DT Tyson Alualu, FB Greg Jones, RB Maurice Jones-Drew, DE Aaron Kampman and CB Rashean Mathis all returned to action on Thursday after being limited Wednesday for non-injury related reasons.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are getting healthy, something they haven't been in weeks. The Jags got Derek Cox back in the line up last week and it changed how they played defensively, allowing for more man coverage. The one big concerning injury is to offensive lineman Eben Britton. Britton has been dealing with back issues all season. He moved to guard to take over for a struggling rookie in Will Rackley, but two weeks ago in Pittsburgh Britton's back flared up and he's missed the past two days. He didn't practice again today and was described as "day to day" by head coach Jack Del Rio.

The Houston Texans on the other hand are relatively healthy. Star wide receiver Andre Johnson practice in a limited capacity, testing out his hamstring. It's still up in the air if Johnson will play on Sunday, but it seems like a real possibility. Eric Winston (ankle) and James Casey (chest) were both limited, but are expected to play as of now.

The Jaguars will look to keep their focus coming off a huge Monday Night win over the Ravens. Heading into Houston to face the Texans, the Jaguars are just 1-4 coming off Monday Night Football under Jack Del Rio.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off a win on Monday Night Football over the Baltimore Ravens that not only snapped a five game losing streak, but was also rookie Blaine Gabbert's first win in the NFL and a win that likely saved head coach Jack Del Rio's job for the season. With a now 2-5 record, the Jaguars can go into Houston and come out one game back of the division lead if they can win.

They'll be facing a Houston Texans team on "Battle Red Day" that is coming off dismantling the Tennessee Titans 41-7, and that was without star wide receiver Andre Johnson. The Texans have done it in part on the back of now healthy running back Arian Foster.

Both teams rank in the Top 10 defensively, so the real stress will be put on the Jaguars offense who rank 31st in points per game, averaging just 12 points. The Texans opened up at 9 point favorites, making the Jaguars open as at least 9 point dogs for the third game in a row. Look for the Jaguars to once again feed running back Maurice Jones-Drew, who leads the AFC and is second in the NFL in rushing
