The Orlando Magic picked up their fourth consecutive victory Monday afternoon when they defeated the New York Knicks, 102-93, at Madison Square Garden behind a career-best 30 points from Ryan Anderson. Orlando's fourth-year stretch forward shot 11-of-19 from the field and 7-of-13 from three-point distance in helping Orlando rally from an early first-half deficit. J.J. Redick, starting for the injured Jason Richardson, added 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting.

After intermission, Orlando shot 11-of-18 on three-pointers and 55.9 percent overall while limiting the host Knicks to 42 points and 35.9 percent shooting. After a dominant, 20-point first half, Carmelo Anthony struggled in the third and fourth quarters, missing 12 of his 17 shots and committing three turnovers.

The Magic took the lead for good with a banked-in triple by Hedo Turkoglu with 5:32 remaining. New York drew no closer than two points the rest of the way.

Dwight Howard had a rough game, fouling out and committing six turnovers in 38 minutes while scoring just eight points (3-of-6 from the field, 2-of-9 on free throws). Orlando prevailed on the strength of its defense and three-point shooting, not Howard's dominance on the interior.

The Orlando Magic will be part of an MLK showcase on Monday as they head to New York to face the Knicks.

The Orlando Magic will face the New York Knicks on Monday afternoon in a game that will force them to be a little flexible with their pregame routines. They head to New York to take on the Knicks in an MLK Day matinee showdown. The game starts at 1:00 pm.

For the Magic, getting their defense in order early will be a tough assignment. It's always tough to get started in these early day games and it could be difficult for them to slow down, or even keep up, with the potentially explosive offense that the Knicks boast with Amare Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony.
