The Magic struggled to contain Paul Pierce, who finished up the night with 29 points with 14 assists. Avery Bradley also added 23 points while former Magic forward Brandon Bass picked up 21 points.

For Orlando, former Celtic Glen Davis led the way scoring with 27 points and 7 rebounds while Jameer Nelson nearly had a double-double with 21 points and 9 assists.
The Orlando Magic always have a tough matchup with the Boston Celtics with Dwight Howard, but without him on Wednesday night the Magic were able to keep it close. At halftime, the Celtics hold a 55-51 lead and a big part of that has been the play of Paul Pierce. Pierce has picked up 13 points and 11 assists in just 17 minutes of play.

For Orlando, Glenn Davis is leading the Magic in scoring with 16 points in the first half against his former team. Jameer Nelson has also picked up 13 points with 5 assists as the Magic try to keep the pace without their dominating big man. Even without Howard, the Magic have out rebounded the Celtics 19-15.

The Orlando Magic will face the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night, likely without center Dwight Howard.

The Orlando Magic will get one more crack at the Boston Celtics before the Playoffs start on Wednesday. The game starts at 8:00 pm ET and can be seen on ESPN.

The Orlando Magic have faced the Boston Celtics twice this season already, and it was probably the worst two game stretch they've had against any opponent in a very long time. The first game, in Boston, was an absolute blowout that the Magic had very little influence over. The Magic only scored 56 points in that game, 31 fewer than Boston's 87. Just a few days later the Magic got another shot at the Celtics and jumped out to a huge lead, only to see Boston come all the way back in the second half and take a 91-83 win. I'm not really sure which one was worse to be honest. Can the Magic bounce back on Wednesday?
