An exciting Men's Final at the 2012 French Open was disrupted by weather, as the match between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal was suspended during the fourth set due to rain. It will resume play at 1 p.m. local time Monday (approximately 7 a.m. ET).

Nadal appeared to be cruising to yet another French Open championship winning the first two sets 6-4, 6-3. After that Djokovic regained control of the match, winning the third set 6-2 and was leading the fourth 2-1 before rain began to take over. Weather has marred the two-week tournament, and more precipitation is in the forecast at Roland Garros on Monday.

Maria Sharapova earned her first French Open championship, and a career grand slam, with her win on Saturday in the women's title match. On Sunday, Novak Djokovic can earn a career grand slam by defeating familiar foe Rafael Nadal on the clay courts of Roland Garros.

The Djokovic versus Nadal matchup is a repeat of the 2011 French Open men's final, won by Nadal. The Nadal victory last season prevented Djokovic from winning all four grand slam events in a calendar year. A Nadal victory in Sunday's final would be his seventh French title, tying him with Bjorn Borg for most all-time. He has yet to drop a set in this year's tournament at has lost only once in his career at the French Open.

Coverage of the final day of the French Open begins at 9:00 a.m. EST on NBC and will run until 2:00 p.m. PT.

While there was not much drama on Friday at Roland Garros, Sunday should be prime viewing for tennis fans. No. 1 Novak Djokovic defeated No. 3 Roger Federer in straight sets, 6-4, 7-5, 6-3. That win coupled with No. 2 Rafael Nadal's victory over No. 6 David Ferrer, 6-2, 6-2, 6-1, sets up a matchup in the French Open finals ripe with stories.

For Djokovic, its an opportunity to complete the grand slam he started last July at Wimbledon. It would also be his fourth consecutive finals victory over Nadal, against whom he is 3-1 overall against.

For Nadal, its the opportunity to set a record for French Open titles in the Open Era. He is currently tied with Bjorn Borg with six French Open titles. In his entire career, Nadal has never lost a French Open championship match.

The men's final will be broadcast live on NBC starting at 9 a.m. Eastern time.
