USF At UConn: Bulls Look To Rebound Against Struggling Huskies

The USF Bulls (4-1, 0-1) are ready to head up to East Hartford, CT as they take on the UConn Huskies (2-4, 0-1) this Saturday at 3:30 PM.

After USF's dissapointing 44-17 loss to Pitt a week and a half ago, the Bulls are ready to get back on the gridiron as they prepare for the UConn Huskies (2-4, 0-1) this Saturday in East Hartford, Connecticut.

The Bulls (4-1, 0-1) used the bye week to work on fundamentals after the defense looked sloppy against the Pitt power running game. With the

The Huskies have struggled under new head coach Paul Pasqualoni, with their latest defeat a 46-13 second half shellacking against West Virginia in Morgantown. The Huskies haven't been able to replace the production of RB Jordan Todman last year, and the inconsistency from the quarterback position has forced Coach Pasqualoni to use three quarterbacks this year.

On the injury front, WR A.J. Love and CB Quenton Washington used the bye week to recover from an ankle and knee injury respectivally and should be ready to go. WR Terrence Mitchell is still recovering from his concussion suffered against UTEP and his status for the game this Saturday is unkown at this point. The only new injury to report for the Bulls is that of reserve WR Derrick Hopkins, who picked up an ankle injury during practice last week and is day to day at this point.

The Huskies have a few injuries of their own, with CB Blidi Wreh-Wilson's sprained MCL keeping him out of this week's game. Wreh-Wilson is considered the best cornerback in the conference, and his absence the last two weeks have been noticeable as the back four have been found lacking in quality against the Mountaineers and Western Michigan. With B.J. Daniels looking like he has taken the next step in his development, the battle between the USF skill players and the UConn secondary might be a huge mismatch that the Bulls can exploit.
