I honestly hope the 2nd half of the 3rd Place Game in the Naismith Memorial Hall Of Fame Tip-off goes better than the first or I might fall asleep from pure boredom. In a half in which the only word to describe the style of play is shambolic, the USF Bulls and the Penn State Nittany Lions are tied at 17. How they each got to 17 points I really have no idea, because at multiple times this half I nodded off due to shear boredom.
Both teams shot under 30% from the field in the first half, and the only positive thing that I can come up with is that both teams did an excellent job making their free throws.
One thing to watch for is the status of Augustus Gilchrist, who looked like he injured his shoulder late in the first half.
Here's hoping the 2nd half is more entertaining than the first.
