USF Suspends Two For Louisville Game

In his weekly press conference yesterday, Skip Holtz announced that RB Marcus Shaw and S Spencer Boyd will be suspended for this Friday's game against Louisville. Holtz also said that both players were also suspended for the game against Miami last Saturday. Holtz didn't elaborate on why the two were suspended, only saying that it was for "in-house things" according to Adam Adkins of the Tampa Tribune.

Boyd and Shaw have been mostly used as special teams players this season, but Shaw was used as the backup to Demetris Murray for the Syracuse game two weeks ago and has seen time as a kick returner along side Lindsey Lamar. Boyd's big moment of the season was when the forced a fumble on the opening kickoff of the Ball State game that was picked up by Mark Joyce for a touchdown.

Their status for the West Virginia game next week is unknown at this time.
