Halftime Update: USF Leads St. John's 32-30

For the second straight game, the South Florida Bulls hold a halftime lead against a nationally ranked opponent. Tonight, the Bulls lead the #15 St. John’s Red Storm 32-30 after being ahead for nearly the entire first half.

Shaun Noriega has 12 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead the Bulls. Augustus Gilchrist has 10. USF is shooting 52% from the floor, and ironically St. John’s tight defense may be to thank. The Bulls have nine turnovers, but also nine assists on 12 made baskets, as on-ball pressure forces USF to move the ball around to the open man instead of dribbling out clock far away from the basket and taking bad shots.

D.J. Kennedy and Dwight Hardy each have eight points for the Red Storm, who did not attempt a free throw in the first half.
