Final: St. John's 72, USF 56

Once again the South Florida Bulls came apart in the second half, and the St. John’s Red Storm slowly pulled away to a 72-56 win in the final Big East regular-season game of the year.

The Bulls had a total of 18 turnovers, and failed to move the ball through their offensive sets like they had in the first half. On the defensive end, USF struggled with a Red Storm team that was much more aggressive in getting to the basket. After not shooting any free throws in the first half, St. John’s had 25 attempts in the second half as the Bulls took 18 fouls — some necessary, some definitely not.

USF finishes the regular season at 9-22 (3-15 in Big East play), and heads to the Big East tournament as the #15 seed, where they will meet #10 seed Villanova on Tuesday night. The Bulls will break their single-season record for losses unless they win the NCAA Tournament, which to say the least is very unlikely.
