USF Basketball Has An Insanely Tough Non-Conference Schedule

Coach Stan Heath and USF released their non-conference schedule for the 2011-12 basketball season, and it will not be easy on the team this year.

The Bulls start off the season playing in the Hall of Fame Classic, where USF will play a strong Old Dominion team and then either Penn State or Kentucky. 10 days later, they head up to Richmond to take on VCU, who if you forgot made the Final Four last year and failed to get their fantastic coach Shaka Smart promoted to a bigger program.

↵

Four days after the VCU game, the Bulls travel to Lawrence to take on the Kansas Jayhawks at Allen Fieldhouse, one of the toughest places to play in all of college basketball. Add in games against Southern Miss and Cleveland State, and most USF fans will know what the team is made out of before Big East play even begins.

↵

Did I mention that USF won't be playing at the Sun Dome this year, and will have to have their home games at the cavanerous St. Pete Times Forum, the insanely small Martinez Complex at the University of Tampa, and the Lakeland Center, which is 45 minutes away?

This will not end well.
