B.J. Daniels and #18 USF Bulls are putting on an offensive clinic as they lead the UTEP Miners 31-17 at halftime. The Bulls offense has already racked up 370 yards of offense in the first half, almost on pace of their Big East record of 745 yards set last week against Florida A&M.
Daniels has been using his arm and legs, throwing for 107 yards while also running for 93 yards and a touchdown. As a team, the Bulls have an absurd 263 yards rushing, led by Victor Marc's 67 yards and a touchdown. Demetris Murray has 53 yards and a score, and Darrell Scott has 23 yards with a touchdown. Receiving, USF has had 7 different receivers catch a pass, but only Sterling Griffin has more than one catch, and he has two receptions.
UTEP has been surprisingly efficient on offense, with spot starter Carson Meger throwing for 152 yards and a touchdown. Julio Lopez leads the Miners in receiving with 4 catches for 40 yards, and Nathan Jeffery has 37 yards on just 4 carries.
