March Madness 2012, Temple Vs. USF Score Update: Bulls Down Just 4 After Brutal First Half On Offensive End

The South Florida Bulls trail the No. 5 seed Temple Owls by just four points after 20 minutes in Nashville. South Florida went more than 15 minutes without hitting a field goal in a game that has been ugly for both teams on the offensive end of the floor. Both teams combined for just 8 field goals and 34 total points, with the Owls leading 19-14.

The Bulls are an amazing 3 of 27 from the floor, shooting just 11 percent from the field. They finally got into double figures with just over two minutes remaining in the half. Shaun Noriega hit a three-pointer late to actually put the the Bulls within striking distance, despite their anemic offensive output. It can't get much worse for USF from an offensive standpoint, so the Bulls have to feel lucky to still be in it heading to the second half.
