Despite a 41-3 loss to Notre Dame on Saturday for Miami, two early drops on touchdown passes from Hurricanes receiver Phillip Dorsett could have caused a different outcome.

When Dorsett looked at his Twitter account after the game, he received threats from fans who were unhappy with those drops, according to the Sun Sentinel.

"You know how people get," Dorsett said Tuesday. "You know how sports fans are. Obviously, everybody has my Twitter account, so people are out there just talking. It doesn’t get to me."

Despite his early struggles in the endzone, Dorsett is still off to a stellar start for the Hurricanes. The sophomore has 29 catches for 470 yards in 2012. He has racked up three touchdowns in six games.

It's a big leap after a freshman season that saw him make a minimal impact. He recorded 14 catches for 147 yards in his first year on campus.
