Cody Grimm Nominated For Rookie Of The Week

There simply aren’t many positives to take away from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ 31-6 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Here’s one though: rookie safety Cody Grimm, despite being beaten on several occasions, was nominated for the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week for Week 6. Grimm finished with four tackles, one interception and one forced fumble.

Will Grimm win the award? I might be inclined to say yes except for one small problem. Saints rookie Chris Ivory just so happened to resurrect the Saints’ rushing attack with his 15-carry, 158-yard performance. And of course, his team won. Nonetheless, congratulations to Grimm for the achievement.
