Bucs' Dynamic Duo -- A Good Fantasy Football Tandem? Maybe.

New, 1 comment

Man, this has been a weird, weird year (at least in my league) for fantasy football.

OK, it's been a weird, weird year for *my* team, the beleaguered (Jay Cutler, anyone?) but still in-it-to-win-it Ignorant Sluts.

↵

With my "star" Chris Johnson running both white hot and frigid cold, it's been up to other, rather surprising players to carry the load. The Buccaneers' Mike Williams has stepped up to the plate nicely. Sometimes. When the team's not getting blown out.

↵

So this week, the Bears are on a bye -- meaning no Jay Cutler to play/give me agita. My QB options are Matt Hasselbeck. And Josh Freeman, who I can acquire in a one-off, one-week trade.

↵

There's a school of thought that suggests it's a good thing to have a QB/WR tandem from the same team playing FF for you. Another adheres to the "variety -- it's a good thing" philosophy.

↵

Frankly, I'm leaning towards Freeman. Why not? The fact that I'll actually be able to watch the darn game this week, thanks to it being played on the Cardinals' home turf, is a contributing factor. My cheers will have extra meaning and passion behind them. Not that they're not loud and enthusiastic to begin with, mind you. But having the points for the Ignorant Sluts on the line as well will make it extra-interesting.

Josh Freeman and Mike Williams. Batman and Robin for my fantasy team. Might work. Still thinking.

What's your take?
