During the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ week off, head coach Raheem Morris hinted that he was going to make a concerted effort to rotate in some of the team’s younger talent more regularly as the season progressed. Wide receiver Arrelious Benn, running back LaGarrette Blount, defensive tackle Brian Price – all were mentioned by Morris as guys who would gradually see the field more in the remaining 12 games of the season.
Gradually is the key word though. Morris on Monday stated that Benn, for example, would not be a starter this coming Sunday when the Bucs travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals.
“No, we aren’t going to start him, but he is going to become a bigger part of the rotation,” said Morris. “He’s earned the right, he’s developing, and he is getting better every week. Last week [against Pittsburgh] he went out there and showed flashes. “
Patience young ones! Your time is coming, that much is clear.
