Buccaneers Cut Sabby Piscitelli

So much for the worry that the injury to Cody Grimm will thrust everyone’s least favorite safety into action. The Buccaneers cut veteran safety Sabby Piscitelli amongst a wave of roster moves earlier today. I guess the team had seen enough of his missed tackles and blown coverages, lord knows the fans have.

The move, coupled with the injury to Grimm would have left the Bucs extremely thin at safety so the team promoted safety Vince Anderson from the practice squad and also signed safety Larry Asante from the Cleveland Browns’ practice squad.

Other moves include the aforementioned placing of Davin Joseph and Cody Grimm on season ending Injured Reserve as well as promoting receiver Dezmon Briscoe, and guard Brandon Carter from the practice squad.
