DLT's Deadlocks NFL Picks Week 6

SB Nation Tampa Bay's JC De La Torre looks to rebound from his rough week with his new Week 6 NFL pick segment.

I warned you didn't I? I told you I was on borrowed time with my picks but you wouldn't listen. Now the house is owned by somebody named Vinny the Nose and you're taking meals at a soup kitchen. You can't blame me - I told you not to base your pools or bets on my ramblings.

So, the football gods level set me the way they level set Mike Williams for referring to himself in the third person. Let's hope both of us rebound this week.

Last Week: 7-6 54% Season: 53-23 70% Upset Specials: 6-3 66% Bucs Picks: 4-1 80%

Bye Week: Arizona, Denver, Kansas City, San Diego, Seattle, Tennessee

Atlanta 23, Carolina 20 -  The Falcons finally find a defense they can score on. Sooner or later, the Panthers are going to learn how to finish a game...and then the rest of the division needs to be worried.

Cincinnati 23, Indianapolis 20 - The Bengals are quietly 3-2, The Colts are loudly 0-5. I really believed last week was the Colts best chance at getting a win for a while. They might steal one in the Queen city, but I don't believe it.

Pittsburgh 23, Jacksonville 13 - The Deadlocks have been a little tough on the Jag-e-r's of late. Truth be told, they haven't been all that bad this season. They've been competitive and I think they'll keep it close against the depleted Steelers.

Buffalo 30, NY Giants 17 - The Giants took a bad, bad loss to the Seahags last week. Buffalo kept on keeping on, smashing the Dream Team. I think they'll keep the nightmare going for the G-men.

San Francisco 23, Detroit 20 - Yes, I know - it's the third time I've picked against the Lions. Detroit's coming off an emotional Monday night victory and we know what the 49ers do to teams coming off of the Monday Night game.

Green Bay 37, St. Louis 10 - Can an 0-4 team beat a 5-0 team? Sure. And pigs could fly.

Philadelphia 28, Washington 17 -  If Philly loses this one, their season is just about over. The Skins could truly take control of the NFC East with a win.

Oakland 30, Cleveland 20 - We didn't get an opportunity last week to offer our condolences to the Davis family. On the bright side, ole Al is smiling as his Raiders seem to finally getting back to just winning, baby.

Baltimore 23, Houston 16 -  You know what? Without Andre Johnson, Houston's offense simply is not that good - even with Arian Foster.

New Orleans at Tampa Bay - Usually I hide this pick with some coy statement to get you to read my full preview of the latest Bucs game. The Bucs are coming off their worst lost in 12 years, they'll be without key starters LeGarrette Blount and Gerald McCoy, Freeman and Mike Williams have regressed and they're facing a Saints team who has blown their doors off their last two trips to Tampa Bay. Who do you think I'm going to pick? Tampa, of course. The Bucs are an UPSET SPECIAL.

New England 38, Dallas 17 - The Patriots are great. The Cowboys are meh.

Sunday Night

Chicago 23, Minnesota 16 - The Vikings finally held on to a lead. That's enough fun for you, Viking fans. Da Bears get well against Minny.

Monday Night

NY Jets 23, Miami 3 - Has there ever been a more overrated team than the New York Jets? Okay, not counting the Cowboys. Or the Texans. Or the Eagles. Or the Falcons. Or the...oh nevermind.
