The Tampa Bay defense has kept the Bucs in the game throughout the first half at LP Field in Nashville. Tennessee's only touchdown of the day came on a special teams trick play, a reverse handoff kick return for a touchdown. The Bucs' defense has forced one Matt Hasselbeck interception, in addition to recovering a Javon Ringer fumble.
The Bucs' offense was finally able to break through 16 seconds remaining in the half. Josh Freeman found Mike Williams on a quick slant three yard touchdown, evening the game at 10-10. Freeman put the ball where only Williams could get, hitting him at the waist as the receiver cut inside and went to the ground. Freeman went ten for 18 in the first half.
