Buccaneers Vs. Panthers: Tampa Bay Looking To End Five Game Losing Streak Against Panthers

The Buccaneers host dynamic rookie Cam Newton and the last place Panthers in Week 13.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Carolina Panthers at Raymond James Stadium in Week 13. The Bucs are looking to end a five game losing streak, after falling on the road in the final three minutes against Tennessee last Sunday. Due to the lockout and late season division weighted schedule, this is the first meeting between the Bucs and Panthers this year, and the first of 3 division games in the last five weeks.

The Panthers are coming off their first road win of the season, squeaking one out over the winless Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium. Quarterback Cam Newton, along with Cincinnati's Andy Dalton, is widely considered a favorite for rookie of the year. Under QB guru Rob Chudzinski, the Panthers have both a top ten passing and rushing attack.

While the Panthers may have a dynamic young quarterback and are coming off a win, it was still only their third of the season and the Bucs opened as three point favorites. Tampa Bay will continue to pound the rock on the ground with LeGarrette Blount, who's had two straight 100 yard rushing games coming back from a Week 5 knee injury in San Francisco.
