Buccaneers-Cowboys: Dallas Jumps On Bucs 14-0 After First Quarter

The script looks familiar for fans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A turnover and a defense that can’t keep opponents out of the endzone has led to the Dallas Cowboys building a 14-0 advantage after one quarter of play

Tony Romo took advantage of a Josh Freeman fumble early in the quarter with an 8 yard touchdown pass to Miles Austin. Austin’s score was slightly controversial as it appeared that he didn’t have control of the football inside the goal-line. The play was reviewed but upheld as a touchdown.

After a 3-and-out by the Bucs’ offense, Romo drove the Cowboys 69 yards in 10 plays that saw Romo find Dez Bryant in the back of the end zone for another Dallas score.

Romo is 9 of 12 for 96 yards and 2 touchdowns. Freeman has only attempted two passes thus far as he has been under siege by the Dallas pass rush.

Dallas has outgained Tampa Bay 138 to 54.
