Buccaneers-Cowboys: Dallas Sends Tampa Bay to 8th Straight Defeat

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers fell behind by four touchdowns and never recovered as the Dallas Cowboys rolled to a 31-15 victory.

Dallas QB Tony Romo was sensation, throwing for three touchdowns and running in another. Meanwhile Josh Freeman was 17-for-27 for 148 yards and a touchdown.

Felix Jones rushed for 108 yards on 22 carries and Jason Witten carved up the Bucs’ secondary for 77 yards on 4 receptions.

Not much happened offensively for Tampa Bay as LeGarrette Blount was limited to 21 yards on 9 carries and the Bucs fell so far behind so quickly, they abandoned the running game. Mike Williams was shut out, no receptions.

The Bucs leading receiver was backup running back Kregg Lumpkin (50 yards on 5 carries).

The Bucs did get to Tony Romo twice as Adrian Clayborn added to his rookie campaign with a sack fumble.

Dallas outgained Tampa Bay 399 to 190.

Dallas improves to 8-6 and remains in the playoff chase. Tampa Bay falls to 4-10 with their 8th straight loss.
