Bucs Vs. Panthers Score Update: Carolina Takes 20-10 Lead To Halftime

After trailing early in the first quarter 10-0 to the Carolina Panthers, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were able to cut into the Panthers lead with a touchdown pass by quarterback Josh Freeman to cap off the long drive the Bucs started in the first quarter. Rookie quarterback Cam Newton was not impressed however, as he connected with wide receiver Brandon LaFell for a 91-yard touchdown pass to put the Panthers up 17-7.

The Bucs were able to get another scoring drive in to get the lead back within a touchdown after a field goal. The Bucs defense however is having trouble containing the Panthers offense, allowing another field goal and the lead to be pushed to 20-10 before halftime. The Panthers already have well over 200 yards of offense in the first half, including 142 yards in the air by Newton. The Bucs offense on the other hand is struggling to run the football.
