Arrelious Benn suffered a torn ACL in a Week 16 game against the Seahawks, and injury that can typically keep a guy out for a year. But his rehab has been going incredibly well apparently, and his agent Drew Rosenhaus says that Benn will be "full go" by August.
Now it's hard to know if Rosenhaus is too close to the situation to judge it accurately, but just being in that general time frame means that Benn's injury rehab has to be going very well. In an article from May 25 on NFL.com, Benn said the injury was feeling great.
"I'm new to the knee injury thing, but for the most part, I didn't think that I'd be back this fast," Benn said. "I kind of feel like it never happened. But I have to be smart. I still have things coming back together in my knee. I might not feel it, but I'm young right now, so I heal fast."
Benn and Mike Williams form one of the best young wide receiver tandems in the entire NFL. If he can get back and be healthy by the season, whenever that may be, the Bucs passing game under Josh Freeman can continue to evolve.
