Buccaneers Coaching Search: Bengals Defensive Coordinator Mike Zimemr Will Interview

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have brought in a number of candidates to interview for the head coaching position, and they all fit a certain archetype. Most of them were veteran coaches with prior experience, but it looks like they are also going to interview someone from the other side of the coin.

Zimmer is one of the most well respected defensive coordinators in the NFl and organized a pretty effective unit in Cincinnati this past year. Here is what our Bucs blog Bucs Nation has to say about Zimmer.

Mike Zimmer has been consistently successful as a defensive coordinator, producing some very impressive defenses in Cincinnati and Dallas. He's been in the league for a long time, and has produced wherever he's gone. The fact that he managed to mold a young Bengals defense into a stout unit will appeal to the Bucs, and the fact that he runs a 4-3 defense which would fit the Bucs personnel certainly doesn't hurt either.
