The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are busy interviewing candidates to be their next head coach, and the first round of interviews figures to be over this weekend according to both Jason La Canfora and Chris Mortensen. The fellas over at Bucs Nation have a little run down of the coaches that have already been interviewed.
The Bucs have brought in Jerry Gray, Mike Zimmer, Rob Chudzinski, Mike Sherman, Marty Schottenheimer and Brad Childress for interviews. With Joe Philbin and Tom Clements expected to come for interviews this week, the total comes to eight interviews so far. The Bucs could add even more interviews to this list before the weekend. The coaching search is certainly extensive now.
The Bucs will likely have a couple favorites once they finish up the first round of interviews, so I expect the process to really speed up after this weekend once the field has been whittled down.
