Buccaneers Coaching Search: Jerry Gray Is No Longer A Candidate

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers haven't been totally forthcoming about their coaching search, but the finalists are starting to be whittled down, and we do have one elimination to report.

Our Tampa Bay blog Bucs Nation has a little more information on when the Buccaneers might hire their next coach.

According to Rick Stroud we should know the finalists for the job within the hour, but deciding on finalists and deciding on the actual head coach are two different things. The Bucs have been thorough and deliberate in their search so far, and it could conceivably take a few weeks before the Bucs decide on a head coach.

The longer it takes for the Bucs to find their coach, the fewer candidates there will be available. There are no other teams that need head coaches, but there might be some top flight coordinators that they may be interested in.
