NFL Mock Draft 2012: Jacksonville Jaguars Might Look At Quinton Coples

As we get closer and close to the 2012 NFL Draft, the consensus of who teams will take will begin to settle in and find a consensus. In the latest SB Nation 2012 NFL Mock Draft, Ryan Van Bibber has the Jaguars taking a player to help bolster their defensive line.

7. Jacksonville Jaguars, Quinton Coples, DE, North Carolina

Coples was the big winner at the Senior Bowl this week. He salvaged his draft stock after a mediocre senior season, and looks like the best pass rusher in the draft. Jacksonville needs help all over the roster, but pass rushers are at a premium. If they can keep Jeremy Mincey from walking away in free agency, the addition of Coples gives the Jaguars a nice one-two punch along their defensive line.

As it stands, the Jaguars leading sacker from 2011 in Jeremy Mincey will be a free agent. If the Jaguars can re-sign Mincey however and pair him with a young defensive end like Coples, the Jaguars defensive line could potentially be locked in for quite a while.
