Buccaneers Coaching Search: Tampa Bay Interested In Marty Schottenheimer, According To Report

The search for a coach to replace the fired Raheem Morris continues for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with Chris Mortensen of ESPN now reporting the Bucs may have some interest in former NFL head man Marty Schottenheimer:

Marty Schottenheimer is on Bucs' radar but not at top; he is hungry to coach. Note that Marv Levy went to his 4th Super Bowl at age 68.

Schottenheimer is currently the head coach of the Virginia Destroyers in the UFL. He last coached in the NFL for the San Diego Chargers, who fired him in February of 2007 after a 14-2 season that saw yet another early playoff flameout. Schottenheimer has a career regular season record of 200-126-1, and a playoff mark of 5-13.
