NFL Power Rankings, Week 8: Buccaneers take a hit

After a loss to the Saints on Sunday, Tampa Bay fell in (most of) the power rankings this week.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers fell in three of the four power rankings this week after falling to the Saints on Sunday.

The Bucs dropped three spots to No. 26 in SB Nation's power rankings:

26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (LW: 23, 2-4): Illegal touching, not as hilarious as it sounds, at least not for Greg Schiano's team.

Quarterback Josh Freeman threw a touchdown pass to Dallas Clark in the final five minutes of Sunday's game, but it wasn't enough as Tampa Bay fell to New Orleans, 35-28. Freeman had one of his best games of the year, throwing for 420 yards and three touchdowns.

The Bucs dropped four spots in the ESPN power rankings to No. 26. The Titans leapfrogged the Bucs and are sitting at No. 25.

Tampa Bay also fell four spots in the CBS Sports power rankings, noting the defense "took a major step back against the Saints." The Bucs are ranked No. 28.

In FOX Sports' power rankings, the Bucs come in at No. 22 -- up two spots from the previous week. It was the only rankings in which Tampa Bay moved up the chart.

The Bucs have a short week in Week 8. They'll hit the road to play Minnesota (5-2) on Thursday night.
