NFL injury report: Bucs' DE Michael Bennett leaves game, DE Da'Quan Bowers returns to action

Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end Michael Bennett had to be carried off the field at the end of Thursday's game against the Minnesota Vikings. Fellow defensive end Da'Quan Bowers entered the field of play for the first time this season.

In the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 36-17 victory over the Minnesota Vikings, defensive end Michael Bennett was the only Buc hit with the injury bug. At the end of the game he had to be helped off at Mall of America Field. As of now his status remains unknown.

What was encouraging in this game was that fellow defensive end Da'Quan Bowers returned to action. It's his first game action coming off the PUP list because of an achilles injury. In his rookie season last year, Bowers recorded 22 solo tackles and 1.5 sacks. In the victory against the Vikings Bowers was held off the defensive stat sheet.

The Buccaneers, now 3-4 on the season, now look forward to playing at O.co Coliseum on Nov. 4 against the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders (2-4) play the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 4 p.m. ET and the game set to broadcast on CBS.
