The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had their bye week in Week 5. Although they did not have many players dealing with injuries in Week 4's loss to the Washington Redskins, the bye week should help some players return for next Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs at full strength.
Cornerback Anthony Gaitor was the only player for the Bucs that missed their Week 4 loss to the Redskins. He did not participate because of a groin injury that he has been dealing with for the entire regular season thus far. Guard Carl Nicks was limited in practice because of a toe injury leading up to the Redskins game, but did play in the game for the Buccaneers.
Other players that are still dealing with minor injuries include linebacker Dekoda Watson and cornerbacks Leonard Johnson and E.J. Biggers. The Buccaneers play the Chiefs next Sunday with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. and television coverage provided by CBS.
