The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will look to string together their third straight win when the San Diego Chargers visit Raymond James Stadium on Sunday.
The 4-4 Bucs have won two straight games on the back of rookie running back Doug Martin. One week after Martin torched the Minnesota Vikings for 214 total yards and two scores, the rookie went for 251 yards rushing and four touchdowns in a wild 42-32 win over the Oakland Raiders. Martin set an NFL record in the win by becoming the first player to have four rushing touchdowns of at least 45 yards.
San Diego, who is also 4-4, ended a three-game losing streak with a 31-13 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs last week. Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers bounced back after two bad performances to complete 18-of-20 passes for 220 yards and two touchdowns.
Tampa Bay is currently four games behind the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC South, but the Bucs are just ½-game behind the second NFC wild card spot. San Diego is one game behind the Denver Broncos in the AFC West.
