After Week 11's games, the three NFL teams from the Sunshine State seem to be going in different directions. After defeating the San Diego Chargers on Sunday, 34-24, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rose to No. 14 in SB Nation's NFL Power rankings, compiled by Joel Thorman. The Buccaneers are up three spots from No. 17 last week with their 5-4 record and Thorman thinks that they are one of the biggest surprises on the season:
I'm not sure anyone realizes the Bucs are actually really good. All four losses have come by one score. They've now won three in a row and four of their last five. They'll have to steal one from Atlanta or New Orleans if they're thinking playoffs, though.
The Miami Dolphins on the other hand took a drop after losing big to the Tennessee Titans, 37-3. Entering that game, the Dolphins were ranked No. 14. After that loss, Thorman dropped them all the way down to No. 21, saying that maybe their playoff chances have gone up in smoke:
Remember when we thought the Dolphins could compete for a Wild Card spot? And then the Titans beat them by 34?
The Jacksonville Jaguars, despite having the week off, still fell in the rankings. After the Kansas City Chiefs showed competitiveness against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football, Thorman moved the Chiefs ahead of the Jaguars, placing the team last at No. 32 in the rankings and writing only a plea to them:
Just keep a game competitive. That's all we ask.
