Tampa Bay Buccaneers free safety Ronde Barber is leading the NFC in voting for the 2013 Pro Bowl, according to Stephen Holder of the Tampa Bay Times.
The 16-year veteran has made a seamless transition from cornerback to free safety this year and his excellent play has garnered national attention. In his first year at his new position, Barber has accumulated 50 tackles and three interceptions for the Buccaneers, with one of those returned 78 yards for a touchdown.
Barber has reached the Pro Bowl five times in his illustrious career with the Buccaneers.
Fan voting for the Pro Bowl will conclude on Dec. 17, and the rosters for both teams will be announced on Dec. 26. NFL players and coaches will submit their ballots in December.
